United States Capitol PoliceThe United States Capitol Police (USCP) is a federal law enforcement agency in the Legislative Branch of Government. Our mission is “To protect Congress, its legislative processes, Members, employees, visitors and facilities from crime, disruption, or terrorism.” Our agency is charged with protecting life and property, preventing, detecting and investigating criminal acts: enforcing traffic regulations throughout a large complex of congressional building. We serve these individuals throughout the entire United States, its territories and possessions, and the District of Columbia.
