Job Description:
Project Best is a program that provides classroom instruction
and work based learning support to youth with disabilities/barriers to
employment. The Employment Specialist
will provide job readiness services, job development, job coaching and work
performance monitoring/support for Project BEST’s program participants to meet
the outcome goals of the program and its participants. Duties include but are not limited to
developing an employment plan of action to place participants in jobs by
locating and developing relationships with local businesses. The Employment Specialist will also provide
job training, support and supervision to the participants to ensure their needs
are met, goals are implemented and a safe environment is maintained. This is a
full-time temporary position working Monday through Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm.
Requirements:
- Education: Associates Degree in Human Services, Psychology/Rehabilitation Science, Social Service or a Business Degree
- Experience: 2 or more years’ experience successfully working with individuals with disabilities. Will also consider a Bachelor’s Degree in the fields mentioned above and 1 or more years’ experience successfully working with individuals with barriers to employment.
