Education:                   BA or BS degree expected,

                   Experience:                  1-2 years related experience preferred.

Accountability: Director of Development

Skills:

·         Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

·         Strong attention to detail

·         Must be proficient in a variety of software packages including word processing.

Department Overview: The Development Department works to raise awareness, funds and friends to adequately support the mission of Auberle.  As such, the development department works collectively as a team to meet financial, communication and volunteer goals for the agency as a whole. 

Position Overview: The Development Associate plays an important role by executing on the foundation strategy for the agency.  The associate also helps to steward all investor relations and participates in all fundraising activities.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Promote the philosophy and mission of Auberle in the provision of all responsibilities.
  • Participate in all stewardship activities to recognize all investors of the organization
  • Serve as principal grant writer including but not limited to, conducting preliminary research on prospective corporate, foundation and federal funding opportunities, prepare proposals and follow-up reports and maintain all foundation files.
  • Act as relationship manager for a group of donors, as agreed upon with the Director of Development, to drive their cultivation and engagement in Auberle.
  • Support overall operations for the department by creating weekly and monthly fundraising reports as well as other database reports as needed.
  • Assist with all aspects of event management including but not limited to maintaining guest lists, gathering and preparing registration materials and other duties as assigned for fundraising events.
  • Promote the Continuous Quality Improvement philosophy; maintain and analyze the data necessary to promote quality improvement.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the cultural diversity of consumers, volunteers, staff and other stakeholders.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Development.
