NEW INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY for EMET:
Learn more about this summer internship at the job fair on campus this Thursday – Menasha hiring representatives will be attending.
Menasha is looking for one or two BS EMET interns for the summer to work at the Yukon plant (near New Stanton) and spend time working with our supervisors in both the production and maintenance areas. The intent would be to hire them into a supervisory role upon graduation. They would learn all of our manufacturing processes, including corrugating the paper, die cutting, printing, labeling, folding and gluing, etc. There are various forms of material handling systems; forklifts, T-cars, clamp trucks, automated conveyors, etc. Of course, we have traditional industrial systems like boiler, air, electrical, hydraulic. There are chemical processes in the starch, the glue and the ink that we use. And since it is a union environment, there would be exposure to working within a collective bargaining agreement. It would be a paid position, naturally. Not sure of the exact rate at this time -- I’m thinking in the $15 - $20 per hour range.
