accessAbilities is a multi-county nonprofit organization that provides home- and community-based services for nearly 2,000 children and adults with physical and/or cognitive disabilities. One full time position located in the Greensburg office. Responsibilities include carrying out the development plan and effectively using staff and volunteers to maximize revenue potential and advance the goals of the public relations plan. This position will develop, implement, and manage special events including publicity materials, records and tracking of progress and outcomes. Also included are writing and managing the direct mail campaign and other appeals such as the United Way and Day of Giving initiatives. Coordinating volunteer recruitment, placement, and recognition activities are also included. In collaboration with the Public Relations Coordinator participates in other revenue- and publicity-generating opportunities. Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field and two to four years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. All positions provide competitive compensation package including medical, dental, generous paid time-off allowance, and 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing goals/strategies to carry out comprehensive public awareness and education campaigns about the mission and services provided by accessAbilities, as well as issues surrounding the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the community. Develop and maintain relationships within the three-county region; maintain the agency's brand by implementing collateral and promotional material design standards, content guidelines, template language, and communication policies and procedures for public relations and development, including media placement. Will manage the agency’s website content; coordinate the agency newsletter and the agency’s social media presence. This position will also provide design, speaking, and writing assistance to agency personnel engaged in external communications. In collaboration with the Annual Fund Coordinator, participates in other revenue- and publicity- generating opportunities. Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field and two to four years related experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
