The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Scholarly Communications Specialist.
This position is in the University Library System, Office of Scholarly Communication and Publishing and is responsible for conducting training and outreach in support of the programs and services of the office, assisting in the operations of the unit’s publishing initiatives, and creating and maintaining documentation.
The position reports to the Director of the Office of Scholarly Communication and Publishing and is part of a team serving the University of Pittsburgh community to advise and conduct outreach on a wide range of research communications issues.
Training and/or experience with scholarly publishing workflows, either print or electronic, effective problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required, as well as the flexibility, intelligence, and drive to handle the variety of responsibilities and the demands of currency in this rapidly evolving field.
