WESCO is looking for interns in the following areas: (Program starts June 4th, lasts 10 weeks and
pays $15/hour)
1. Heath and Safety -
Validate our Health and Safety program document against
current compliance requirements, Design the Hasp to be more useful, develop
newsletter library of relevant safety topics, and design and implement a safety
scorecard
2. Global Accounts Pricing -
Aggregate and evaluate cost and pricing data for
multimillion dollar contracts. They will
also analyze and evaluate effectiveness of pricing contracts, uncover
opportunities for price optimization, support Global Account Pricing, and
perform ad hoc analysis upon request.
3. Regional Field
Marketing-
Collaborate with the Regional Marketing team to help support
the execution of specific programs. They
will help develop content and other communication pieces, and support the
development of Regional campaigns, communications, and engagement strategies.
They will spend time working on special projects and interacting with other
members of the Marketing team including Customer Segment Marketing, Customer
Loyalty Programs, Creative Services, Supplier Marketing, Trade Show and Events,
Supplier Relations and more.
4. Reporting and
Analysis-
Execute recurring reports; analyze report results for
insight (recurring and ad-hoc); industry & market research. They will be
able to experience analyzing real-world data for actionable insights. They will
earn how companies execute analytics vs. academic approaches. This internship
may include any or all of the following activities: running reports, scrubbing
data, analyzing data, hypothesis testing, data modeling, market research and
data entry.
5. WESCO Integrated Supply
Assist in obtaining pricing/price lists from suppliers and
preparing that information for load into our system to increase the level of
automation within the business.
Participate in the development and execution of sourcing event for
commodity group.
6. E-Commerce Digital Marketing
The intern will contribute to one of the following needs of
the department: Graphic Design or Content Writing assistance related to Digital
Marketing project requests
7. E-Commerce Digital
Experience
To support Digital Experience with Usability Evaluation,
Competitive Analysis Research, and/or wireframes to support a project
8. Global Accounts
The Intern will provide direct writing and editing for the
Proposal team. This includes providing overall proposal writing throughout the
entire proposal life cycle in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request
for Information (RFIs), and surveys, often under tight deadlines. This intern’s
work will contribute to our goal of increasing sales through persuasive
proposal (RFP) responses. The intern will work with the team to ensure that the
final product exceeds customer expectations, and is submitted in a timely
manner within company guidelines. The intern will be able to create and
manipulate visual designs to communicate a concept or message.
