expand its technical sales team with positions available for entry and
professional level Sales Engineers.
Our precision glass products are used in advanced technology platforms, with
major customers located around the globe. Kopp’s Sales Engineers collaborate
with customers in the development of highly differentiated new products for a
diverse range of industries.

Sales Engineer will drive new business and product development in strategic
markets. The Sales Engineer will have a solid foundation of technical knowledge
in material science, mechanical engineering, or optics, be a dynamic

ideal candidate will be a confident creative thinker with a

solutions that provide meaningful value to customers.
Primary Responsibilities:

Employ a consultative sales process
to develop a deep understanding of a deep understanding of technologies, market
dynamics, and customer needs.

Work internally with Research &
Engineering, Marketing, and production departments to develop innovative custom
glass solutions matched to customer requirements.
- Review customer drawings,
specifications and requirements closely and provide design
recommendations, discuss manufacturing processes, and additional technical
feedback.
- Be recognized as a credible
technical advisor in key markets and build a strong professional network.
- Develop resources and other
tools to educate customers about product offerings and capabilities.
- Complete and maintain documents
necessary for sales reporting, monitor sales patterns, develop sales
strategy, and provide industry analysis and insights.
- Coordinate and attend customer
visits, trade shows and industry events to build rapport with key
influencers and decision makers and identify potential new business
opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education; Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering (materials, glass/ceramic, mechanical, electrical,
optical, or related fields).
- Work
experience; positions available for entry level (0-1 years of experience)
and professional level (minimum of 3-5 years of experience)
- Sales
experience; No sales experience required for entry level applicants and minimum
of 3 years of applicable B2B sales experience in industrial or technical markets
required for professional level applicants.
- Willing to
travel domestically approximately 10-15% of time
Required
Technical Competencies:
- Strong
mechanical aptitude to read and interpret technical drawings and technical
specifications.
- Demonstrated
interpersonal finesse that enhances communication and positively
influences achievement of strategic objectives
- Excellent
Microsoft Office skills including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
