The responsibilities of this position will include:

QA/QC Analyst – Myerstown, PA $25-$27/hr.
·         Perform standard qualitative and quantitative analysis on:  purchased raw materials, in-process products, pure drug substances and finished pharmaceutical preparations employing accepted gravimetric and spectrophotometer procedures, in accordance with approved testing procedures of BAYER, the National Formulary (NF) and the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP).
·         Utilize standard "bench" chemistry technique as well as sophisticated electronic instrumentation, including spectrophotometer, viscometer, etc.
·         Maintain records of all analysis information of assigned products on data sheets for permanent file and proper entry of information on laboratory forms.
·         Evaluate all data obtained from analysis; if discrepancy or deviation occurs, consult with Supervisor and recommend additional testing if necessary.
·         Perform routine analytical and microbiological testing of raw materials purchased from prospective suppliers to determine that the materials meet compendia and/or company standards.
·          Adhere to the pertinent aspects of Corporate and plant safety programs and adhering to GMP’s, ISO standards or other regulations.
·         Assist in investigating non-compliance investigations.
·         Assist with troubleshooting analytical methodology and instrumentation malfunctions.
·         Perform special assignments as directed by supervisor.
·         Assist in validation of manufacturing and production lines and equipment pertinent to chemistry and microbiology ( e.g. equipment and room cleaning validation).
·         Perform testing of water samples from Purified (Deionized and Reverse Osmosis) Water, USP systems.
·         If assigned to Microbiology, perform microbiological environmental monitoring in production areas and in the Microbiology Laboratory.
·         If assigned to the QA Receiving area, develop specifications for packaging components and prepare final specification sheets for new, revised, or updated components in conjunction with packaging departments, other Bayer facilities and component vendors.
·         If assigned to the QA Compliance area, audit all manufacturing and packaging documentation to ensure compliance with all GMP regulations and Bayer standards.  Release bulk and finished package materials to ensure timely release to meet production requirements.
  • If assigned to the Compliance area, may have a MBR focus to support conversion of paper batch documentation and creation of MBRs within MES.  This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Interface with technical experts to create MBRs and convert current records to PAS-X MBR format.
  • Maintain MBR master data by capturing and analyzing process information within the MBR - material flow, job activities, and information flow.  Maintain paper and electronic records as required.
  • Revise SOPs related to use of electronic records and MBRs.
  • Work with QA staff to identify process critical data prior to creation.
  • Verify created MBRs through "dry run" processes to ensure accuracy and workability.
  • Secure approval of each required document from production departments, Process Technology department, and QA department.
  • Coordinate implementation of MBRs with Production, Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) and production departments.
  • Train employees during transition from paper batch records to MBR.
 
Associate Tech – Myerstown, PA $15/hr.
§  Incumbent will be expected to train and become qualified in all required and preferred skill areas within a reasonable period of time.
§  Comply with all workplace standards and safety procedures, including Lockout Tagout, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements (OSHA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Company Guidelines.
§  Perform equipment setup and changeover activities.  Take action to safely reduce equipment setup and changeover times.
§  Initiate and establish equipment operating parameters to maximize production, while meeting all product specifications.
§  Coordinate the utilization of outside contractors and vendors as needed.
§  Perform the daily setup and routine operation of the packaging line, including but not limited to:  bottle in-feed, unscrambler, filler, bottle capper, torquer, labeler, vision systems, weighing systems, bar coding systems, sealers, disassembly/assembly, cleaning, resolving equipment stoppages and jams, and all material handling as trained.
§  Perform preventive maintenance tasks as needed and trained.
§  Troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives and Servo Drive systems as trained.
§  Inspect packaging components, in-process items, and packaged drug products to assure compliance to specifications, identify any non-conforming item and initiate appropriate actions.
§  Palletize both finished and unfinished products, and operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
§  Complete, maintain, and update production documentation (both electronic and paper) to perform material movements, material take-outs and yield determinations by following SOPs and utilizing systems as required such as Systems/Applications/Products (SAP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Electronic Batch Records (EBRs), etc.
§  Take ownership of training and learning to develop high performance competencies such as technical skills,   communication skills, and skills to build a team-oriented culture (i.e. training team members, motivating and supporting team members, sharing knowledge to continuously improve the process, etc.).
§  Meet the production schedules outlined by line team and/or Supervision.  Review and approve work output for team members by using validated methods.

Admin Assistant – Myerstown, PA $15/hr. (4 month project based contract)
Data cleansing
·         Review of Lotus Notes export vs. Individual history to determine common themes / obsolete items
·         Organize and build each employee’s basic function, training materials, SOP and name for entry into LMS
·         Assist QC/QA in the creation of PowerPoint slides for various learning items
·         Build step by step slides for preforming task
·         Take pictures of various job tasks for the PowerPoint slides to be incorporated into learning items
·         Moving created learning items to the production content server
·         (If we could get them access to the LMS) create content ids (AICC wrap) for the documents in the production content server

~50% administrative support and ~50% support of groups trade compliance (import/export) activities. HS degree, IT skills: MS Office/Outlook required, SAP and/or Concur experience not required, but would be helpful. Meeting/event planning, travel arrangements, expense reporting, processing invoices. Would consider candidates who wanted 4 days/32 hours per week, but no less. This entity provides trade compliance and trade policy services to all Bayer businesses. Assist with directing the activities of the Myerstown Medical Department.  Assess, treat and advise
employee’s with minor to life threatening injuries, perform medical surveillance to detect
health related problems, document and maintain medical records.  Document accurate
medical records to ensure compliance with OSHA and Government regulations and perform
duties in accordance with site quality and safety systems.

Responsibilities
The continuous operations team within the Pittsburgh HUB has a need to temporarily ramp up their team due to increased project works in 2014.  The incumbent will be responsible for planning, coding, management, controlling and documentation of FTP related scripts.  
Additionally, assisting, defining and monitoring of the TWS Batch Job schedules may be required. 
The incumbent will:
- Maintenance of FTP gateway systems & infrastructure
- 24x7 support of FTP gateway systems, infrastructure & jobs as part of a team
- Troubleshooting of FTP job problems
- Maintenance of support and configuration documentation
- Consulting with colleagues and customers about FTP function & configuration
- Design automated data transfer solutions
- Develop scripts, including data encryption when required
- Design and create directory structures on internal FTP servers

Qualifications
- Preferred, but not required a Bachelor’s Degree

- Working knowledge of FTP and SFTP command syntax

This skilled oriented position utilizes skills for the advanced operation and trouble-shooting of custom machinery in a Sterile Disposable or Electro-Mechanical production environment. This position requires developed technical skills, analytical skills and knowledge necessary to operate custom and/or automated equipment. While this is a supervised position, the machine operator II be capable of operating the majority of plant production equipment and will provide guidance and training to lower level personnel including other Machine Operators. This position will require extry-level technical problem solving / trouble shooting skills and must possess good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with a broad group of cross-functional staff including production team members, QA, Maintenance and Engineering staff members. This position will required independent work to resolve lower level issues, perform basic equipment maintenance with higher level equipment issues. This position needs to be able to work any assigned shift at any assigned production site based on business needs and may include weekends and/or overtime work.
 
QC Inspector – O’Hara Township $13/hr.
               
This skilled inspection position is focused on quality acceptance of Ultrasound Transducers and associated documentation. Position requires an increased breadth of product knowledge and use of inspection equipment. The position exists to ensure the quality of electro-mechanical products via inspection processes. This position is resource to other departments on quality issues and may interface with personnel from multiple departments for the purpose of information exchange, drawing and procedure change processes, troubleshooting, training or problem solving. This is a position that requires leadership skills, a positive attitude and demonstrates a willingness to support teamwork and the demonstrated ability to keep up with day-to-day customer needs in a fast-paced, depot-based, repair center, must be adaptable to change and flexible with the business needs..
