Job  Title
Marketing Team Member

Job Purpose
To assist in the marketing of State Farm life, health, auto, fire and banking products and other financial services products as an employee of State Farm independent contractor agent.

Experience and knowledge
  • Experience in a variety of computer applications, particularly Windows applications, desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership skills preferred
  • Experience in marketing and customer service desirable

Skills/ Abilities
  • Ability to become fully licensed to market State Farm products, including life, health, auto, fire and bank products
  • Ability to conduct needs based marketing interviews with potential and existing clients
  • Ability to effectively relate to customers
  • Strong listening, oral, and written communications skills
  • Ability to take initiative and act effectively both individually and as a member of a team without direction
  • Ability to create and maintain professional business relationships with prospects, policyholders, co-workers and associates within the State Farm organization
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain strong organizational skills
  • Goal oriented: highly motivated and resourceful to achieve results
  • Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability and ethical behavior

Job related training courses, licensing and programs
  • Successfully complete and maintain all state, federal and State Farm requirements – including licensing  registration – to market and service designated State Farm products and services
