The owner of a local one-person
jewelry making business – Robi’s Rock ‘n Bead Designs -- needs help
marketing her hand-made jewelry which she sells to raise money for
Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Her goal is to raise enough money through the sale of her jewelry to put one soldier’s child through college. It takes about $80,000 to put a fallen soldier’s child through school. So far she has raised $12,000 and could use your help to reach her goal.
By helping her with one of a variety of marketing projects, you could be part of a great cause while at the same time build your resume with marketing skills.
The volunteer-work schedule would be very flexible and could require just a few hours a week. There are many small projects to work on.
While helping a great cause, you would gain experience in areas such as
· Website marketing and SEO
· Etsy store front styling (Etsy.com)
· Building a presence and growing support with social media
· Creative thinking, planning and strategizing how to reach a high number of potential customers
· Development of sales materials and sales pitches
· Identifying target customers and reaching these customers
· Retail sales – working with gift store owners
· Contacting prospective businesses for their support and help with this type of fund raising
How can this build your resume?
