Details: Job Description: WTAE-TV, the Hearst-owned ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh, PA is now interviewing for a part-time Associate Producer candidate for its news department. This is an entry-level position for an aspiring newscast producer where you’ll learn from one of the most creative producing shops in the country. • Researching & gathering story information for producers and reporters • Listening to scanners • Making beat checks to local contacts (fire/police/911 centers, etc.) • Dispatching reporters, photographers and Sky 4 to breaking news • Answering viewer calls • Producing & writing morning cut-ins and breaking news live cut-ins when needed • Posting content to the web • Other various duties as assigned within the newsroom that aid in the production of our newscasts • Write for newscasts including putting together anchor packages • Log video and sound and pull SOT’s for scripts and teases • Write anchor tosses • Create and order graphics • Build a rundown based on the daily content • Fill-in produce newscasts | |
