Part-time position available: The Amish Home is a locally-owned store in the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills. We specialize in hardwood furniture, custom-crafted by the Amish in Ohio. We are looking for a part-time salesperson for Saturdays plus 1-2 weekdays, no Sundays or major holidays.
This position is ideal for a student with a specific interest in small business/boutique retail, furniture design, or residential planning. You will be expected to learn the detailed options & possibilities of our custom furniture. We will train you on our furniture lines. Responsibilities will include sales & follow-up, store operations, and showroom maintenance. Depending on your interests & skills, there will also be opportunities to contribute to our marketing, store planning, and sales resources.
Hourly wage/no commission for a low-stress, team-focused environment. Will work with students interested in gaining internship experience in business, marketing, management to adapt the position to qualify as an academic internship.
