We are working with a leading producer
of specialty steel located in the North Pittsburgh region to identify the
successful candidate to fill the role of Shift Manager of Power Distribution. This position will be responsible for the
safety and operations of all power distribution and high voltage equipment.
Position
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise and provide work direction for union employee, including scheduling and assigning work.
- Responsible for safety contacts, observations, and meetings.
- Coordinate the operation, maintenance, testing, installation and metering of all plant electrical systems.
- Responsible for all AC systems utilizing 138kV, 25kV, 13.8kV, 6.9kV, 2.3kV and DC systems rated at 750 VDC and 250 VDC.
- Analyze equipment needs and ensure equipment reliability.
- Assist with planning and managing outages and coordinating with departments during outages.
- Provide direction and scheduling to contractors during special projects as needed.
Requirements
- Experience with high-voltage power distribution equipment, AC/DC motors, and compressed air systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Electronics.
- Electrical supervisor experience a plus.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
- This position is considering entry level candidates with internship experience.
