Job Title: Operations & Maintenance Intern

Springdale Energy is looking for an inquisitive and highly motivated person who can effectively communicate to join our team as a summer intern in 2024. Our dynamic team is highly skilled in our field and enjoys teaching others what we are passionate about. If you are selected for the internship, you will learn about an industry that is essential to everyday life. Focal areas will include industrial processes, control systems, thermodynamics, process improvement, business acumen, and much more.
While there are only 24 people at this location, IHI Power Services has over 600 employees nationwide and is growing rapidly. The successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of power plant operations and maintenance, including:
Operations: Plant equipment monitoring, Weekly and monthly preventative maintenance tasks, Assist in start-up, shutdown and normal operations of plant systems, and Exposure to LOTO packages
Education
· Currently attending a 2-year or 4-year program and interested in exploring employment opportunities within the power industry.
· At least a 2.5 cumulative GPA

· Interested in learning about what it is like to work in a power plant environment.
· Commitment to following all safety protocols, time and attendance policies and following directions.

Other Qualifications
· Salary Range: $20.00/Hour
· Work Schedule: Five (5), 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
· Travel Percentage: None
