Position Summary:
Our Summer Internship is a paid 10-week program for interns to gain hands-on sales experience. As a Benco Sales Intern, you will drive sales of merchandise, equipment, technology, and Benco services; solicit new business through personal efforts and referrals; maximize the customer experience; enhance selling skills in product and services focus areas; develop healthy/productive working relationships with customers, vendors and Benco teammates.
Sales Interns are assigned a specific region for the duration of the program and are responsible to grow sales by partnering with our sales teams. Interns will also work with our home office staff and travel to Benco locations for training and cross-departmental opportunities. Sales Internship responsibilities and goals will be to learn about Benco's offerings; learn to present to customers and non-customers. Our goal is that our interns will learn the business and be provided a basic training that will help jump start success as a sales representative post-graduation.

Do These Responsibilities Interest YOU?
- Lead sales activities with assigned customers and partner with them to build relationships
- Participate in all intern-related events and training, sales meetings, dental conventions, team building events and sales training as required
- Identify business needs of clients, and leverage Benco’s offering to assist them with a customer-first mantra
- Work with inside and outside sales teams to develop your own book of business
- Engage in continuous education and learning to become well versed on Benco’s product offering and up to date on the dental industry
- Proactively communicate with various departments at the home office as well as the Benco team within your assigned Region
- Collaborate with manager and teammates to complete assigned daily/weekly tasks
- Leverage the internship to learn all aspects of building a successful Sales territory
Do YOU Meet These Requirements?
- Currently enrolled in/pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field; GPA of 3.0+ preferred
- Completed coursework to be identified as a Junior with a graduation date of December 2023 or later OR entering second year of master’s program with graduation date of December 2023 or later
- Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel in an assigned territory daily as well as limited overnight travel.
- Ability to start on May 20th, 2024
- Up to 30/week
