The Partnership for Public Service is hiring Future Leaders in Public Service (FLIPS) summer interns in multiple locations throughout the United States (FLIPS also offers “fully remote work” options as well). The FLIPS Summer Internship Program is an exciting opportunity for students of all majors to gain professional experience in the Federal government. Since 2022, the program leads diverse and young talent to government and offers students the opportunity to apply their educational training to work in a federal agency. Candidates may apply for up to two career tracks (listed below) that most closely align with their education, skills, and interest:
- Public Administration - may include positions in finance, human resources, management/administration, or similar fields
- Science, Mathematics, and Engineering - may include positions in the fields of science and health, engineering, or mathematics
- Government Contracting and Acquisition - may include positions relating to federal contracting and acquisition, procurement, or business
- Liberal Arts - may include positions in communication, arts, humanities, graphic design, public policy, writing/editing, communications, public affairs, or social sciences
- Public Interest Technology - may include positions in operations technology-focused policy, graphic design, writing/editing, program management, data analysis, entrepreneurship, or stakeholder management
- Data Science - may include computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, economics, data analysis, data science, information technology, business, finance, biostatistics, data analytics in artificial intelligence or machine learning, or physics
