Dyco Inc, is a family owned manufacturing company located in Bloomsburg PA who are looking to hire a PLC Programmer to join our team.
PLC Programmer
Responsibilities:
• Write programs for new designed automatic and semi-automatic machines and conveyor systems for Allen Bradley CompactLogix
• Write and teach robot programs for new designed robotic cells using Kuka or UR robots
• Debug and test new or modified PLC and robotic programs on production floor
• Debug and test new or modified PLC and robotic programs at customer facility
• Conduct comprehensive machine and system testing
• Assist with developing customer manual for newly designed machines and conveyor systems
• Assist in risk assessment of newly designed machines
• Follow flowcharts and fill out quality checklists or procedures
• Assist with conceptual design of the operation of new/custom equipment and components
• Conduct necessary research
• Help refine and develop programming standards and methods
• Assist sales with layouts, quotes, and concept development
• Support and assist Dyco installation and service crew
• Answer and coordinate customer service calls
• Other duties as assigned by manager
• Complete management and coordination of all assigned projects
Requirements:
• Knowledge of PLC and/or robotic programming methods and principles
• Aptitude and ability to learn Kuka, UR and Allen Bradley software
• Skills to coordinate with other engineers and programmers on large systems and machines
• Basic understanding of mechanical design and applications
• Proficient using Microsoft Office products
• Ability to update programs, prints, spreadsheets, etc.
• Availability for 25 percent overnight travel
Experience:
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or eq.
• Entry level; experience preferred
