We have an opportunity at UPMC for a Clinical Engineering Generalist II. This role requires a few years of experience, but the manager said that people who have graduated from Penn State New Kensington’s Biomedical Engineering Technology program could be a great fit.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree in Biomedical/Electrical/Computer/ IT Information Technology or Journeyman papers (if applicable) is required.
- Equivalent military experience and/or equivalent hospital or manufacturers service experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum two years of hospital or manufacturers service experience and/or demonstrates equivalent proficiencies.
- Manufacturers Certification of two priority types of Medium equipment.
- General knowledge of electronics, digital circuitry operations and Information Technology, or surgical instrumentation (as applicable).
- General knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, physics, chemistry, optics, pneumatics, hydraulics, hospital structure and regulatory requirements (as applicable).
- General Computer skills as required to operate a Computer Maintenance Management System.
