RISE RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION SPECIALIST (Full time)
External Hiring Range: $32,000 to $35,000/Year Travel Required: Yes
Location: 2400 East Carson Street
Education: Associates Degree
Experience: 3 or more years’ experience successfully working with adjudicated youth or disadvantaged youth and possesses a working knowledge of the parole system. Will also consider a Bachelors Degree and 1 or more years’ experience as stated above.
Summary:
The RISE(Re-entry through Industry Specific Education) Program offers
hands-on vocational education integrated with academics, life skills,
and work readiness training; service learning; job shadowing; and
internships for youth ages 17-24. The Recruitment and Retention
Specialist is responsible for the outreach, intake and individual
follow-up for the RISE program. This position is responsible for
functioning as a community point of contact and referral sources.
Activities may include staffing resource fairs, meeting with partnering
agencies and speaking engagements. The RISE Recruitment and Retention
Specialist will also be required to fill out monthly reports. The ideal
candidate will have a background working with adjudicated or at-risk
youth who are 17-24 who are not enrolled in school and/or looking to get
their GED or employment. The RISE Recruitment and Retention Specialist
will need to have strong and polished interpersonal skills, written and
oral communication skills, creative, strategic and analytical thinking
with the ability to manage multiple projects, simultaneously. The
candidate must be highly organized and able to work well with others
along with a current driver’s license and reliable transportation are
required. The RISE Recruitment and Retention Specialist will need to be
flexible with scheduling in order to meet the needs of the program.
