Deadline To Apply For Fall Internship With Senator Casey's Office

Hello,

My name is Elizabeth Breckenridge and I am the Administrative Director for Senator Bob Casey’s office.  I wanted to send a reminder regarding our Fall internship deadline which is this Saturday, July 15.

Why should my students apply for an internship?
Interns will gain first-hand knowledge of the legislative process and of the daily operations of a Senate office by working with constituents and staff on issues affecting Pennsylvania.  Interns in Senator Casey’s office are scheduled on a rotation between Mail Room, Constituent Duties (Administrative), and Legislative Duties.  Administrative tasks include, but not limited to, checking the front office voicemail, greeting constituents, sorting incoming mail and faxes, and data entry. Interns will also frequently be asked to make deliveries and run various errands.  Interns assigned to legislative work will assist the Legislative Assistants and Correspondents with the job of advising the Senator on the span of public policy.

The Fall 2017 application is available online at https://www.casey.senate.gov/request/internships.  Again, the deadline for applications is:  Saturday, July 15 and we encourage all undergraduate, graduate, and recently graduated students from your school to apply.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or if you would like to schedule a time to discuss Senator Casey’s internship program further. I look forward to hearing from you.

All the best,

Elizabeth
