What is ZOLL?
The LifeVest division of ZOLL Medical Corporation is dedicated to developing the LifeVest wearable defibrillator and associated technology. The LifeVest is worn by patients at risk for sudden cardiac death. The device continuously monitors a patient’s heart and, if a life-threatening heart rhythm is detected, delivers a treatment shock to restore normal heart rhythm. The device was FDA approved in 2001 and is currently available in the United States, Europe, Japan, and several other countries worldwide. On any given day, tens of thousands of people around the world are protected from sudden cardiac death by wearing the LifeVest.
