There are now OVER 170 employers registered to attend with opportunities for all majors -- this is one of the best resources for you to connect with employers seeking Penn State interns and soon-to-be grads! If you have not done so yet, please visit the Western PA Job & Internship Fair website at www.westpacs.org for more details on the event.
IMPORTANT: Download the new WestPACS Career Fair Plus app from
the App Store or Google Play so you can learn about all the employers
attending and filter the list by majors and positions available. This
is also where you will find the map of the job fair on Wednesday. (If you do not have a smart phone/device, a hard copy map and list of employers will be provided at check-in.)
Bring a friend! Please spread the word and tell friends there is still time to pre-register at www.westpacs.org and attend the job fair for FREE (must pre-register by midnight TONIGHT 3/13)!

Many students and graduates say that they get more out of the job fair by attending with a friend. So far we have 38 PSNK students and graduates pre-registered... so why not have your friends register and come too! (MUST pre-register by MIDNIGHT MONDAY to attend for FREE). After
that time they can still attend but will need to pay the walk-in fee of
$10 CASH. All registration fees are collected at the door. Cash only.
Times: The times of the event are 10 AM - 3 PM. Although you do not need to be there for that full time, you should do some preparation to make the most of the time you are able to spend there. I recommend that you arrive as early as possible for the best opportunities to talk with the employers. When you arrive at the fair, check in at “Pre-registered Student Registration” according to your last name where you will pick up your nametag and other materials.
There will be three employer representatives presenting workshops at the fair:
Workshop Presentation Schedule at the Fair:
9:30 - 10:00 a.m. - "How to Make the Most of the Fair"
10:15 – 11:15 a.m. - "Applying for Government Employment through USA Jobs"
1:00 - 2:00 p.m. – “Working and Living in the Pittsburgh Region”
Get the best experience at the job fair by viewing tips on how to make the most of this or any job fair experience under the “For Candidates” tab at www.WestPACS.org. Please note that knowing what to expect at the event and preparing in advance are two of the most important things you can do.

Resumes: You also must have a resume to enter the fair. For resume help, come to Career Services and see resume tips and examples at our Resumes webpage. Please review the WestPACS website for other entrance requirements.
Dress: And a final reminder: this is a "dress up" event -- plan to dress as if you were going to an interview – NOT for a night out at a club! Professional business attire is the most appropriate (err on the side of being conservative). Also, DO NOT be too casual. No jeans, t-shirts, flip-flops or sweatshirts permitted. See the attachments for some "dress for interview success.”
