Pittsburgh Public Schools is currently seeking to hire individuals who
enjoy working with children to serve as Substitutes. In addition to the
reward of contributing to the education of our future leaders,
Substitutes will earn at least $120 per day. The qualifications for this
role include having a Bachelor’s degree and a commitment to ensuring
that our students receive quality teaching each and every day. A
teaching degree or certification is not required to fill this position,
and all newly-hired Substitutes will have the opportunity to attend a
day-long orientation session that includes professional development
