West Penn Testing Positions

West Penn Testing in New Kensington, PA is currently recruiting at least 10 Non-Destructive Testing Inspector Trainees.  We are looking for 3-4 people to stay local, 3-4 to relocate to Ellabell, GA, and 3-4 to relocate to Richburg, SC.
We are looking for trainees with a basic math skillset, including the ability to work with fractions and measurements, along with a technical/handiwork type of background.  They would be expected to lift a maximum of 25-50 pounds, be trained to operate cranes and testing equipment, etc.

POSITION TITLE: NDT Inspector Trainee (Non-Destructive Testing)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The NDT Inspector Trainee is responsible for assisting certified personnel in performing non-destructive testing of customer material while learning required skills towards certification.    

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
1.    An NDT Trainee shall learn how to:
a)    Properly handle customer materials using fork lifts and overhead cranes
b)    Safely load and unload customer product into inspection tanks
c)    Read and interpret inspection procedures
d)    Use PC based computer software  to run inspection equipment, retrieve inspection information and document Work Order information
e)    Use basic math to calculate inspection parameters
f)     Make mechanical and electronic adjustments to inspection systems to meet inspection parameters
g)    Fill out inspection reports
h)    Perform preventative maintenance tasks, as directed
2.    Trainees should be able to:
a)    Maintain a clean, organized, safe work station at all times.
b)    Lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
c)    Sit for one or more hours at a time.
d)    Reliably report to their work stations on time as scheduled
3.    Trainees will be asked to perform other ancillary duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    High school diploma OR GED Certificate necessary.
2.    Training or Experience in non-destructive testing preferred.

7.        A working knowledge of MS Office applications preferred.
