The summer season is about to begin and we are looking for a few new team members to help with our summer line-up of county fairs and festivals throughout Pennsylvania. If you have a "service attitude" and enjoy working with people, we have a great opportunity for you.  
Looking for hard working individuals that are able to be self-motivated and work independently with others, as well as a team player.  Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time. Will need to provide your own transportation to and from the various events, and must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends and some holidays. 

Duties may consist of but are not limited to: Help set up/tear down events, prepare all items as instructed by the Executive Manager, serve items to customers, make correct change, ensure that tent/trailer and equipment is clean, sanitized, and put away as instructed by the Executive Manager, be consistent with products presentation and garnish, serve the customer efficiently and with superior customer service. Will need to run basic kitchen appliances such as blender, fryer and oven.

Summer Youth Employment Initiative
FACT SHEET

What are the dates of the summer program? First day of employment is June 29, 2015, and the last day of employment is August 7, 2015. The Learn and Earn program will incorporate a three-tiered model which will allow for more appropriate youth placement and job/skills matching, while further enhancing their overall experience.

What are the pay rates? Tier One and Two youth are paid $7.25 per hour and may work up to 25 hours per week, 5 hours a day, which includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch, Monday through Friday. Prior to worksite placement the youth will receive 12 hours of Work Readiness Training paid $6.00/hr. Tier Three youth are paid $8.50 per hour and may work up to 20 hours per week. Tier Three youth will also receive 24 hours of Work Readiness training paid $8.50/hr prior to their worksite placement and throughout the 6 week placement. Internship starting and ending times will vary according to the work-site.

Who can apply? City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County residents who will be at least 14, and no older than 21, as of June 29, 2015.
When to apply? Youth may apply Friday, April 10, 2015 through Wednesday, April 30, 2015.

What kinds of jobs may be available? The internships will be concentrated in 14 career tracks based on the growing or trending occupations in the Pittsburgh area: Customer Service; Education; Community Development (Government and Non-profit); Health Care; Human Services; Information Technology; Insurance; Park Management; Public Works; Recreation; Public Safety; Labor/Trades; Financial/Banking; and Marketing. The daily worksite tasks will vary based upon the youth’s selected career/occupation track and tier placement.

When and where can I turn in my application? All applications must be submitted in person to one of the following locations listed below from April 10 to April 30, 2015. Hours: Mon – Fri, 10 am – 6 pm and SaturdayApril 18 and April 25,10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Job Summary:
The IT Support Specialist will work with our IT Support Team to assist with day-to-day operations, which includes answering the Support Desk phone and responding/monitoring the Support Desk email Inbox.
The IT Support Specialist will have high interaction with bank personnel via phone, email and face-to-face.
Other job responsibilities include troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and other technical issues (ex: printing, scanning, faxing, etc).
The IT Support Specialist will also assist in related IT project work, as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements:
· Working towards an undergraduate degree, in an IT related field, at either a college or technical institute.

· Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Job Requirements:

· Prior experience in replacing toner cartridges, rollers, and maintenance kits on printers.

About the Opportunity 
These are open positions with the West Penn Power Operating Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [WPP] There are multiple openings at the Regional Dispatching Office in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Under the general supervision of the Regional Distribution Operations Staff, this position is responsible for: 
  • Monitoring the day-to-day operations of the regional distribution system.
  • Outage restoration during emergency or abnormal conditions with timely and accurate documentation associated with the distribution system.
  • Demonstrating a solid commitment to all aspects of safety.
  • Recommending operational improvements and communicating system events to appropriate personnel.
  • Demonstrating sound internal and/or external customer service.
  • Operating the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, Energy Management System (EMS), Geographic Information System (GIS), PowerOn Outage Management System (OMS), as well as radio and telephone systems.
  • Analyzing and acting promptly in cases of system disturbance so that the system can be restored to a normal configuration.
  • Providing technical analysis, monitoring systems, scheduling and authorizing distribution equipment outages and load transfers.
  • Developing detailed scenarios to identify operating problems caused by contingency outages.
  • Assigning and directing switching activities and work assignments to field personnel.
  • Monitoring system and weather conditions.
  • Coordinating staffing requirements by calling additional resources to handle emergencies.
  • Completing training and development to progress to the Regional Distribution System Operator level.


Qualifications 
  • Associate's degree or greater in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related certification from an accredited institution. Equivalent working experience with demonstrated understanding to operate the distribution system will be considered, in lieu of above stated educational requirements (minimum of 2-4 years of related work experience).
  • Must pass the EEI System Operator/Power Dispatcher Test (SO/PD).
  • Live within a 45-60 minute commute time of the work location.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts and be available for overtime work when needed.
  • Capable of effective performance in problem solving, multi-tasking and teamwork.
  • Demonstrate effective performance in prioritizing work for efficient and safe operations.
  • Knowledge of, or able to learn, transmission and distribution operation, maintenance and construction practices, procedures, work methods, materials, equipment and tools to operate the distribution system.
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills to effectively interpret switching requests, engineering drawings, schematics, equipment instruction manuals, standards and procedures used to develop distribution switching orders.
  • Skilled in the development, collection, organization and analysis of information from a variety of sources to develop switching orders and recommendations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, supervisors, peers, employees and contractors involved with the construction, operation and maintenance of the transmission and distribution facilities.
  • Demonstrate a questioning attitude to learn, produce results and develop relationships.
  • Able to work on basic to moderately complex projects and assignments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills to make quick assessments and deliver well-thought decisions, when situations require.
  • Knowledge of, or able to learn, specific mainframe and computer applications.
