SUMMARY
An opportunity to understudy with the IT Central Programmer and assist in the design and build of machinery that supports JVM manufacturing operations (located in Natrona Heights). The position is expected to be a part-time, 20 hours per week role with the potential to eventually become a full-time position within the IT department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Basic AC/DC wiring experience including willingness to learn.
- Experience creating and following wire diagrams and circuit layouts.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS; computer-aided design (CAD) software that is used for precise 2D and 3D drafting, design, and modeling.
- Enclosure design (SolidWorks & AutoCAD).
- DC circuit design.
- Documentation, written specifications, final build information, and other critical reference information.
- Research, selection, and provisioning component parts.
- Communication skills including interacting in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Education – associate degree, Electrical Engineering Technology (EE) or related field.
Relevant work experience.
Experience
o PLC Programming, ladder logic and function block languages (Siemens, AB, Keyence preferred)
o HMI Programming, Screen Layout and Design experience.
o Entry level automation experience.
o Basic computer/Windows experience.
o Experience with selection, deployment and troubleshooting of discrete and analog sensors.
