PennDOT College Student Summer Worker 2021

DESCRIPTION OF WORK and REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:

College Student Summer Worker:
$14.25/hour
Assist in seasonal maintenance work, crash system input and analysis, and maintenance and custodial services at roadside rest facilities. Many students also perform laboring and flagging duties in maintenance organizations and at highway worksites.
  • To be eligible, you must have:
    • Must be a high school graduate or college student enrolled (or intending to enroll) on a full-time basis in a 2- or 4- year post-secondary education program for the fall semester.
    • In good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).
    • At least 18 years of age.
    • Special Requirement: Upon verification of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's
      License without incident, some positions may be authorized to operate
      Department vehicles as part of this job.

Production Manufacturing Engineer

NORMA Group Pennsylvania looking to hire a Production Manufacturing Engineer


Company: NORMA Group Pennsylvania

Location: Saltsburg, PA

First Shift ( 11am - 7am ) 

 

Position Summary: 

  • Support daily production by ensuring that the plant is achieving posted Key Performance Indicator goals (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Efficiency, etc.). 
  • When below target, conduct Root Cause Problem Solving analysis and establish/implement permanent counter measures. 

  • Design, implement, and maintain processes that help continually improve NORMA Groups vision, KPI’s, and Business Plan goals. 
  • Continuous Improvement mindset recognizing that all processes can be improved is required. 

 

Responsibility / Duties: 

    Daily Manufacturing Support 

o Troubleshoot complex electromechanical automated assembly systems through PLC logic, mechanical drawings, and/or electrical schematics. 

o Troubleshoot and adjust multi-channel vision systems and sensors. 

o Troubleshoot and program Articulated, SCARA, and Cartesian robots. 

o Implement corrective and preventative measures as it relates to daily KPI goals. 


Continuous Improvement Support 

o Identify and support NORMA Group Continuous Improvement projects through Kaizans, 5-S initiatives, SMEDs, Value Stream Mapping, and Employee Suggestion Program. 

o Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment using computer-assisted drafting (CAD). 

o Development of standardized work practices relating to changeover, set-ups, operating methods, and process flow. 

§ Assist in the implementation of new or upgraded equipment and processes. 

§ Develop, implement, and maintain equipment Preventative/Predictive Maintenance work orders and schedules. 

§ Identify critical spares and maintain appropriate inventory levels for production equipment as assigned by department manager. 

§ Perform operational studies and special projects as assigned. 

 

 

 

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree in technical discipline required. 
  • Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field required. 

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 
  • Must be able to read, understand, and interpret PLC ladder diagrams accurately. Must be able to use Allen-Bradley RsLogix 500 & 5000 software to navigate, troubleshoot, edit, and modify PLC programs. Additional knowledge of Yaskawa Motion Works, MPE720, and Giddings & Lewis preferred. 
  • Basic Articulated, SCARA, and Cartesian robots knowledge required. 
  • Basic CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) knowledge required. 
  • Basic Mechanical Systems, Hydraulics/Pneumatic Systems, and Mechanical troubleshooting knowledge required.

Technical Assistance For Online Broadcasts

           Technical Assistance Needed ! 


The First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Apollo is seeking a student for some technical assistance in upgrading their technology equipment and to enhance our broadcast services.  

They have been using Facebook to broadcast their Sunday morning services and would like help with upgrading and improving their broadcasts.

 

Seeking a student that would be willing to help up-grade their system including, but not limited to, quality cameras, video equipment, initial set-up, and operations to enhance the weekly broadcast of their worship services.  As well, the intern would be expected to be present on designated Sundays to ensure that broadcasts are transmitting properly via Facebook, Twitter, and other social media outlets, including the Church website.   

 

The Congregational Church Council is willing to offer a stipend based on mutual agreement.
