IT Learning and Development (ITLD), part of Penn State IT and Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) is seeking students to fill technology tutor positions. Positions are part-time, 10-15 hours per week, and have hours ranging from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., 6 days per week. Typical duties include assisting students, faculty, and staff with learning how to use different technology tools and software to accomplish their day-to-day teaching and learning and/or business requirements.
Student tutors will be required to support technology related trainings in face-to-face and online environments. Experience working with Zoom, in both teaching and learning and business contexts, is preferred. A working knowledge of other Penn State approved software such as Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, Sites at Penn State, and Canvas is desired, along with effective teaching and communication skills. In addition, candidates must have the ability and willingness to self-learn about technology tools and software using online resources, in a short span of time.
