Electronics Service Technician General Summary: We are looking for a service technician to support customers of our various communications products. This would include phone support and troubleshooting, on-site service and installations as well as in house repairs and general servicing of our products. Primary Duties: Program/setup various communications products to fill customer orders. Perform system installs in client’s offices, vehicles, etc. Provide first level support/troubleshooting for all company products (phone and in person). Perform service and reconditioning of products for existing customers. Secondary Duties: Answering incoming telephone calls and directing them to the proper department. Access and respond to incoming support emails. Assist in testing potential new products. Requirements: Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology or related fields. 2 years minimum experience in information technology or technical support. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows platform and Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to communicate technical issues to colleagues and customers with a variety of backgrounds. Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills are required. Must be highly organized and able to prioritize effectively. Must be focused with high attention to detail and be able to properly follow instructions. Must be a quick study, flexible and willing to take on new and different tasks. Good mechanical aptitude. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
