School Age Teacher
Valley Community Services is seeking a dedicated, energetic individual to work with the School Age children at our Early Education Program. Valley Community Services is located in Cheswick, PA and is licensed by the Department of Education as a Private Academic Nursery School, and is a Keystone STAR 4 facility.
Job Duties:
- Maintain a safe, healthy learning environment
- Plan and implement educational lessons to the children
- Responsible for the safety and care of the children
- Willing to work with other staff members as a TEAM
- Establish a relationship with families and children
- Perform duties assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Must hold a minimum of an Associates in ECE/or an equivalent degree or related field including 18 ECE credits or Elementary Education and 12 ECE credits or unrelated degree including 30 ECE credits
- 2 years of documented experience working with young children
- Candidates must be able to obtain an updated physical with TB test
- Willing to attend monthly staff meetings, In Service days, and yearly 24 hours of Professional Development Trainings
- Knowledge in Keystone STARS and PA Early Learning Standards is beneficial, but not necessary
