GREAT Seminars for Spring 2016 - You are Invited!

PSNK EMET STUDENTS:
YOU ARE INVITED to be part of a special series designed to give you 
an EDGE on your future career in engineering.


These sessions are designed to give you special insight into the careers of professional engineers and help with preparation for internships and jobs after college. This series has been developed especially for EMET and engineering students at Penn State New Kensington and you can earn a certificate for your participation in the series’ events!

The GREAT Seminars on Professional Skills for Career Success are sponsored by the Chancellor’s Office, the Penn State Electro-Optics Center and PSNK Career Services to help you learn from professionals about the skills and expectations you will need for a successful career in engineering and related fields. 

These will be highly interactive and informative sessions where you will learn with a cohort of students directly from engineering, science and management professionals.  They are designed to be interesting and fun with lots of discussion – and there is free food at the end of each session too!

I want to extend a special invitation to a trip to the College of Engineering Career Day at University Park on January 27th.

Description: Meet with dozens of engineering companies in your field at Penn State’s biggest engineering-exclusive career event.  Lots of opportunities for internships and jobs.

The dates for the rest of the sessions for the semester are as follows:
March 17th – Communication on the Job is Key to Success
March 30th – Professional Etiquette Dinner
April 14th – Panel of Professionals in Engineering Fields
