Pittsburgh Organization Recommended for Students and Young Alumni

Here is a great organization for students and young alumni who want to meet people, network professionally and socially, and get involved in making Pittsburgh an attractive place for young professionals:
Check the site for more about their activities and how to get involved.
PUMP engages young and young-thinking professionals in areas where their voice needs to be heard.  We listen to opinions, create programs, advocate for issues, and educate the right people on what's best for our region.  As part of our mission, PUMP provides programming in three strategic programming areas:
Civic Engagement - Get Involved!
PUMP encourages a new generation of leaders to become involved in the civic and political process.  We organize educational forums, exchange information, tackle important issues and collaborate with community leaders to make a meaningful impact.  The civic decision-making process in our community is greatly enhanced through the involvement of Pittsburgh's young professionals.
Community Development - Affect Change!
PUMP participates in community initiatives to increase access to jobs, housing and culturally rich experiences.  Our programming includes professional development workshops and activities to connect our members with the business, cultural, recreational, and educational communities.
Social Networking - It's Who You Know!
PUMP encourages young and young-thinking professionals to become part of the social fabric of our community.  We provide a wide array of social networking opportunities through sports-oriented recreation, informal gatherings and high profile events.  Our members value the creation of community through networking and love to have a little fun.
