ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Develops and maintains applications and databases by evaluating client needs and analyzing requirements
Develops software systems of a moderately complex nature
Identifies client’s software requirements with other persons in a position to understand service requirements
Maintains the development infrastructure and works with technical staff to ensure a smooth transition to production
Assists in the preparation of high level work breakdown structures for projects
Confirms program operation by conducting tests and modifying program sequence and/or codes
Creates and maintains effective employee, vendor, and client relationships by providing timely, accurate responses and service-oriented offers of assistance
React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
Work independently with minimal supervision
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Experience in more than one of the following development or scripting language: VB, ASP,C,C++, C#, Javascript, Vbscript and COM.
Prior Knowledge of Microsoft Visual development tools
Must be competent and proficient in Microsoft Office Software products, specifically Excel, Word, and PPT.
Must possess superb trouble-shooting skills and persistence in problem solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to initiate decisions and actions

Tickets for Kids (TFK) enriches the lives of underprivileged children and their families by making it possible for them to attend high-quality sporting, arts, cultural and entertainment events. Since 1994, TFK (http://www.ticketsforkids.org) has reached more than one million children nationwide! Tickets are donated by venues, presenting organizations, teams, universities, sponsors and individuals and then distributed by TFK through more than 2,500 approved social services agencies around the country.
Tickets for Kids Charities seeks an intern who will be an integral member of our growing organization. Duties can include: researching prospective new markets and donors, developing relationships with ticket donors and agency partners, setting social media strategy, and assisting with our 20th anniversary event. Must be: able to work in a fast-paced office environment, detail-oriented, responsible, able to communicate effectively, and be very comfortable speaking and working with the public. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Hours are flexible during business hours (8:30-5:30 M-F) with some evening/weekend event hours. This is an unpaid internship; arrangements can be made for school credit and parking is provided.
