Accounting Supervisor Opening

Penn Machine Company LLC is part of a multinational corporation that is located in Blairsville and Johnstown, PA.  We are a market-leading manufacturer for transit, railroads, mining, and general industry with multiple locations.  We have an immediate need for an individual who is forward-thinking and willing to assist in driving change.  Responsibilities for this position include:

•  Supervision of accounting department personnel
•  Oversee general accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, general ledger account processes, budgeting and forecasting, tax reporting, fixed assets and ensure SOX compliance
•  Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and operating procedures consistent with GAAP and required reporting requirements

Position requires a BS in Accounting or Finance, minimum 5 years general accounting experience including experience in a standard cost environment and in manufacturing, strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Hyperion, working knowledge of GAAP, supervisory experience, detail oriented with good organizational skills, and strong communication abilities.  CPA/CMA certification and lean office/manufacturing experience are pluses.
