HELP DESK TECHNICIAN

Skills/Qualifications:
Must be a team player who can multi-task, prioritize, take direction,
perform well under pressure, and be able to meet demanding (sometimes
short and inflexible) deadlines. The ideal candidate should have a
strong working knowledge of Windows; Apple OSX; Chromebooks and
Active Directory; hardware and software installation, repair, and
maintenance; and system imaging. The ideal candidate should also have a
passion for solving complex IT problems; have a focus on quality; broad
technical understanding; be a quick study; be flexible and adaptable to
changing priorities, and have a desire to learn and share knowledge with
others.
Technology Proficiencies: Microsoft Active Directory, Google Apps, Windows, and experience with Apple OSX.
Job Duties:
- Handles Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk requests via phone, email, and in-person from faculty, staff, and students of the district.
- Manages district IT inventory systems at their assigned building.
- Provides desk-side support for Windows, Apple OS, iOS, Chrome OS, G Suite, and Microsoft Office products.
- Escalates work order tickets to the proper parties when outside of the scope of knowledge
- Provides data to the Director of Educational Technology regarding support tickets and resolution status.
- Recommends upgrades to hardware and software to the Technology Services Coordinator in order to maintain the operation and security of district computers.
- Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs, along with providing references and support.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Technology and Innovation and the Information Technology Manager

Salary: $39,696
