Description:
Software Licensing and Service Contracts Specialist is responsible for identifying the most appropriate source for requested goods/services. This position oversees the solicitation process to ensure the best value goods and services are obtained for Carnegie Mellon University. This position is also serves as a liaison between CMU-Qatar IT and various administrative groups and departments at the CMU-Pittsburgh campus for software purchasing and licensing. This position is responsible for negotiating global licensing and service agreements for our Qatar campus and providing all required documentation to the International Finance office. The position is based in Pittsburgh and requires some international travel.



Qualifications:
Minimum:
Education: B.S. degree in Business Management, Information Science, Computer Science or a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience: Up to 3 years of related experience with the sourcing software/services and negotiating license agreements, PCs, Apple Macintosh, Unix/Linux, Database and Network environments.
Skills: This position requires the incumbent to have the ability to learn new technical skills quickly; be patient; have effective interpersonal skills; use assertiveness and diplomacy and the ability to determine when each is required; excellent organizational skills, the ability to follow detailed processes, and procedures, communicate these processes to other team members and provide feedback on the status of open items with demonstrated ability to follow problems through to resolution. It also requires the ability to function competently in a team environment; excellent analytical and reasoning skills - ability to analyze data, identify trends, summarize results and make recommendations based on findings; ability to interact effectively with campus community and external customers and vendors; excellent verbal and written communication skills; computer literacy; ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
Physical Mobility: Normally sedentary with some mobility (i.e., able to travel to other campus locations; may require some bending or lifting).
Environmental Conditions: Normal office environment; generally work involves extended use of computer monitor.
Mental: Ability to effectively handle multiple problems, completing each in a timely manner; excellent questioning and analytical skills; ability to identify, isolate and communicate problems from/to all levels of users and technical staff. Ability to pay close attention to detail, meet inflexible deadlines, remain calm during difficult situations, work under pressure and work with frequent interruptions.
Other: Ability to work in a team environment; interact within and outside of Computing Service, as well as work with people outside the university. Weekend and early morning hours may be required to support our international campus.

Preferred:
Education: Specific course work and/or professional development related to software licensing and service contracts.
Licenses: CPM and/or CPTS.
Experience: Experience in academic environments; experience providing service to customers; experience with call tracking systems, automatic call distribution systems, ServiceNow; knowledge and experience working in global procurement. Familiarity with software standards, concepts and practices, In depth knowledge of Software licensing and agreements, up to 5 years’ experience in sourcing software and negotiating license agreements.

AWES is a new model for serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a site-based and community setting. It is a full continuum of care in one program, offering individual and family therapy, parent training and advocacy, social skills groups, and community integration.
